Terms of Service
The short version: Haulspar is ours; your copy of it is licensed to you, not sold. Play fairly, keep your company name decent, and do not cheat, tamper with the app or abuse other people or us. Virtual currency and items have no real-world value and are not refundable except where Google Play or the law says otherwise. If the rules are broken we may reset progress, remove content, suspend or end access to the game and its online features, and we may change or stop the game itself. Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you where you live.

1. Agreeing to these terms
By installing, opening or playing Haulspar, or by using haulspar.com, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not play. Google Play's own terms also apply to the download, updates and any purchase made through Google Play; where they conflict with these terms about a Google service, Google's terms govern that service.
2. Who may play
You must be at least 13 years old, or the higher age your country sets for agreeing to terms like these, to play. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must have read these terms and agreed to them on your behalf, and is responsible for your play. Signing in with Google Play Games is subject to Google's age rules for that account.
3. Your licence to the game
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play Haulspar on Android devices you own or control, for your own entertainment, under these terms. The game, its code, art, names, text, music, design and data remain ours (or our licensors'). You do not own the game or any copy of it; you may not sell, rent, lend, sublicense or redistribute it.
4. Google Play Games and your progress
Haulspar does not run accounts of its own. Your company is saved on your device, and if you sign in with Google Play Games a copy is kept in your Google account (see the Privacy Policy, section 6). You are responsible for your device and your Google account. We may treat anything done with your Play Games identity as done by you. We do not restore progress lost through a device change, an uninstall, a failed sign-in or a save you deleted, though we will try to help if you write to us.
5. Virtual currency, items and purchases
Credits, space bucks, ships, buildings, research, timer skips and everything else in the game are virtual items. They exist only inside Haulspar, have no monetary value, cannot be cashed out, sold, traded or transferred outside the game, and are not your property: you receive a limited licence to use them inside the game under these terms. We may add, change, rebalance, reprice, or remove virtual items and currency at any time, including as part of testing or balancing the game.
If in-app purchases are offered, they are made through Google Play, paid to Google and subject to Google Play's payment and refund policies; we do not receive your payment details. Once space bucks or another purchased item has been delivered to your game, the purchase is complete. Refunds are handled by Google Play under its policies and by the law where you live, and are otherwise not given — in particular, we do not refund virtual currency or items that were spent, that lost value in a balance change, or that were removed because of a breach of these terms. Rewarded advertising, if offered, is optional, and a reward is only due for an ad watched to the end as the ad provider reports it.
6. Rules of play
You agree not to, and not to help anyone else to:
- cheat, or gain credits, items, progress, achievements or timers other than by playing the game as designed — including by editing, forging or replaying save files, changing the device clock to skip timers, or exploiting a bug rather than reporting it;
- modify, decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer or make derivative works of the app, or run it with cheat tools, injected code, automation, bots or scripts, or on emulators or rooted devices in order to tamper with it;
- copy, extract, or redistribute the game's art, sounds, text, data or code, or use them to make another product;
- give your company, or anything else you can name in the game, a name that is offensive, hateful, sexual, threatening, impersonates someone, infringes a trademark or breaks the law;
- interfere with the game, with Google Play Games services, or with other players — including harassing, threatening or defrauding anyone, in the game or around it;
- abuse support: false bug reports, false refund claims, or attempts to obtain items, refunds or progress by deception;
- use the game for anything unlawful, or to collect data about other people.
If you find a bug that gives an unfair advantage, please tell us at the address below instead of using it. We are grateful for reports and will say so.
7. What we may do when the rules are broken
If we reasonably believe you have broken these terms, or that your use harms the game, other players or us, we may take any of the following, with or without warning, and without owing you a refund or compensation:
- reset, remove or correct credits, space bucks, items, buildings, research, achievements or other progress that was obtained or affected by the breach;
- rename or remove a company name or other content that breaks section 6 or 8;
- suspend or permanently end your access to online features such as Play Games sign-in, cloud saves, achievements and any future leaderboards, events or multiplayer features;
- suspend or permanently end your licence to play Haulspar, which means you must stop playing and delete your copies;
- refuse future service, including new sign-ins from the same Google account or device;
- report unlawful conduct to Google or to the authorities, and take legal action where warranted.
We choose the measure in proportion to the breach: a first accidental exploit will usually mean a reset of what it gave; deliberate cheating, tampering, abuse of others or repeat offences will usually mean the end of access. If you think we got it wrong, write to us within 30 days with what happened and we will look again. We may also end or suspend the game's online features for everyone when we need to, for example to fix an exploit.
8. Your company name and other content
You may name your company and, over time, other things in the game. You keep whatever rights you have in a name you invent, and you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to store, display, moderate and (for example in a future leaderboard or in screenshots of the game) reproduce it in and around Haulspar. Names are checked against a word list on your device before they are accepted, and we may still change or remove a name that breaks section 6, or that we consider unsuitable, at any time. Anything you send us about the game (a bug report, a suggestion, a screenshot) may be used by us freely to improve it, without payment or credit unless we agree otherwise.
9. Changes to the game, testing and availability
Haulspar is in development and in testing. We may change any part of the game at any time — rules, numbers, content, art, features, prices — and we may add or remove online features. During testing we may reset or wipe progress, including cloud saves, when a change to the save format or the balance requires it; we will say so in the release notes where we can. We may stop offering the game, or stop supporting old versions, at any time. Virtual items are not refunded when the game changes or ends, except where the law requires it.
10. Our intellectual property
Haulspar, its logo and all of the game's content are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws and belong to Space Junk Industries LLC or its licensors. These terms give you no right to use our names, logos or artwork outside the game, except that you may share ordinary screenshots and recordings of your own play, with credit, for non-commercial purposes.
11. No warranty
The game and the website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that progress will never be lost. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions; there, they apply to the extent the law permits.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Space Junk Industries LLC and its members, managers and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, progress, virtual items, profits or goodwill, arising out of or relating to the game or these terms, however caused. Our total liability for all claims relating to the game will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us through Google Play in the twelve months before the claim and twenty US dollars (US$20). Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing takes away consumer rights that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be waived.
13. Your responsibility for your breach
If a third party brings a claim against us because you broke these terms or the law while using the game — for example, because of a name you chose or content you sent — you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses arising from that claim, to the extent the law where you live allows.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute that cannot be settled by talking to us first will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, which you agree have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another place whose law gives you the right to sue at home and the protection of your local law, that right and that protection are not affected by this section. Before either of us goes to court, we agree to try for 30 days to resolve the matter by email.
15. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when the game changes. The new version is posted here with a new effective date, and for material changes the app will point to it the next time you play. If you keep playing after a change takes effect, you accept it; if you do not accept it, stop playing and delete the app. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a term at one time does not waive it later. These terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about Haulspar.
